Magellan has approx 2in of insulation. Performance is similar to Yeti. Great cooler.

I can buy a hell of a lot of ice for the difference in price between that and an Igloo, lol.
There's also the fact that that 2" of insulation means I either can't put as much in the chest, or can't put as much in the truck. I just never was that impressed.

Personally I would buy American made coolers. Yeti BTW is not made in USA anymore. Funny they went overseas and the price remained the same. #marketing101

Igloo and Orca are both American made.

This is what happens when you send rotational molding molds to china...

you can buy them back cheaper !!!

http://china-rotomold.en.alibaba.com/pro...cooler_box.html

they copy everything and if you have a rotational molding machine you can buy one of those molds and make you own cooler smile

Good point. But can you have that ice delivered to you on day 4 of offshore trip, or hunting trip after you have cleaned your catch/kill?

Take a good look at that RTIC (http://www.rticcoolers.com/rtic-65-cooler.html). The lid on the cooler in the main photo is warped. Just sayin'.
