Anyone know if you have to use the listed hooks on do-it jig molds or can you use most anything? The molds I'm looking at all seem to list undersized eagle claw hooks, I'd like to upsize and up the quality.

I modify a lot of my molds to accept what every hook/eye configuration I want to. Pretty easy with a dremmel

So you could use upsized hooks fairly easily?

Which hook and mold are you trying to use? I use bigger hooks than it says with all my jig molds with no modification.

You can almost always go up one size without problem.

The Sparkie molds use the EC 410/413 hooks. You should have no problem using EC 730 hooks.

I can tell you that if you want to go a lot larger you're going to have problems with the alignment of the hook. The length of the eye will cause the rest of the hook to sit at a angle.
