who makes the best hand warmers for keeping in your pockets on a cold day? Cause the $.99 ones from Academy ain't worth nuthin.

They always seem to be hit and miss to me. Some will work great then you get some in the same pack that never do anything. Usually we just buy a lot and keep going thru them until we come across ones they get hot.

I liked these so much a bought a couple of cases from Amazon. They'll get HOT, like burn your arse hot.

Last deer season I put one in each boot on a morning when it was 24 degrees. . .I ended up having to spook some deer away because I HAD TO take my boots off, my feet were on fire. They last a LONG time too.

Don't remember the name but I've been using one that you fill with lighter fluid, light, and it will keep your hands warm for more time than you need. Been using one since the late 70's and it's never failed to keep my hands warm.

I just was in the deer woods today and used the Horhands. My set got mildly warm but did not last more than about four hours. My hunting partner said his set never got more than luck warm.

They are very hit or miss and I've never been able to figure out a routine to follow in order to get the best results.

For fishing, I use the lighter fluid filled Zippo. It works GREAT but has a little odor from the lighter fluid, so for that reason I don't use it in the deer woods.

Yep, the Zippo hand warmers are pretty great.

I used hand warmers for the first time last Thursday. I think I have hand them in my stuff for years and just never took them out. They still had the WalMart price tag on it of .79 cents for a pack of two. They worked great and warmed my hands enough to tie lures and cast a lot better than cold fingers.
