Well I finally had time to take the boat out and had a brake from the deer/duck hunts. First time on the lake
In 90days but I knew we would catch fish but I didn't know it was going to be an insane bite. We launched the boat around 12 and fished til 3:30. We deadsticked mainly with some REALLY fine tackle that I just picked up from Moes Tackle on my way to the lake. Thanks again Moe for letting me stop by. We headed for a particular spot that I like for deadstick drifting and immediately it was ON! On the first drop my mom pulled in a 8# striper. As we figured out what they really wanted we boated several fish. By 3:30 we boated over 20 Stripers, 2 sandbass, and 2 hybrids. All but one striper were over 18". It was about the end of the day and I had a bump that felt like a freight train. That within seconds I lost. I reeled up to find that it had broken my hook in half!! I immediately dropped my back up rod down into the fish and hooked up again. This one was another screamer!!! I fought it like hell and finally boated my PB Hybrid to date. I don't know the weight but it was well over 10#s and was released to break the lake record one day. Excellent day on TWAK!! Thanks again Moe! I'd like to give a shout out to the gentleman who lent us a set of leathermans to correct our dead battery situation, and the guys for the scale!
