Beautiful day to be on the water. Lake conditions were almost perfect. The bite today was a little slow compared to Fri but still plenty of fish were caught. Typical winter time pattern with fish coming mostly from 30-40 FOW close to the bottom. Slow trolling was the most common method to catch fish. Minnows and jigs did equally well. Water temp 56.5 -58.5.

There were 15 teams entered in the fun tourney and every one put money in the big fish pot. Chris and Willie Scott took big stringer with 7 fish hitting 11.51 on the scales and big fish at 2.11. Good job guys. Here's the top 5

Chris & Willie Scott 11.51 Big Fish 2.11
Paul O'Bier/George Nelon 9.94
Ken Gaby/Max Jordan 9.91
Tommy Ezell/Richie James 9.86
Larry & Dustin Junell 9.83

fish It was a good trip.
I witnessed a good fishing clinic from Chris and Willy Scott yesterday. They fish like a well oiled machine and the results speak for itself.

I want to give a shout out to Big Earl for his hospitality and his Chicken N Dumplings !!! It was also good to see our old friends after a few month lay off. flag

I know one person fished Cypress and weighed in 3 fish. Another team pre-fished Cypress and was on Sandlin in about 2 hours. Not sure what has happened at Cypress with the crappie but the bite has been way off for 2 years.

Congrats to Chris and Willie! I wish I could fish it...got at least another month of therapy on my shoulder before I can even attempt to fish.
