I kicking around the idea of hitting up Tawakoni this weekend. With all the water, can somebody suggest a ramp on the east side? I'll be coming in from that way. I want to try out the hybrid action.

Just go to state park it is one of the better launch ramps and clean area. Was there today and wore them out.

So without being too specific, anybody have any suggestions on where to fish?

from state park down south to the dam. just watch for the birds and the boat shows. with this nice weather we are having. there should be boats and birds on the water at tawakoni. especially around holiday humps. most always catch fish there sometime thru out the day.

CJ sorry I'm getting back to this post so late Friday I killed them 300 yards north from the state park launch ramp. Today only caught a couple but we got out way late 2:00 pm I'm going to guess the dam was a better spot today

What are the best lures and colors to use right now? Usually fish with slabs and do well but still learning how the time of year affects the bite.

Deadstick bite tends to work well with 3-5 inch flukes in various colors. grey, white, chartreuse, some with shiny flecks some with out. tandem rigs or single rigs. On ounce Jig heads in white, silver or chartreuse. Check out www.rsrlures.com. We did well on those last two trips.

I only fish on days that end in Y!
