Friend Bob L and I went out from 10AM to 1:45PM and caught 65: 34 whites, 3 legal hybrids, 12 short hybrids, a cat and 15 keeper sized yellow bass. We caught them at Key Ranch Drop-off, 3-Jug Hump and Merimac Point in 15 to 20 fow. Bob caught 2 or 3 on a slab and the rest of his on a yellow bodied Shyster in-line spinner. I caught mine on a #4 silver Mepps. It was a beautiful day to be on the lake. Water temp was down to 57 degrees. After Bob left I went back out to scout a couple more spots and caught 30 more - near No Name Hump. Here are some pics:

Yours truly with nice hybrid:

Thanks Dennis for the report. I was wondering if they were still hitting the Mepps with the water temp dropping. Planning on giving it a try hopefully this weekend.

Very nice Dennis. Do you dead stick those Mepps lures?

LOL! No, I don't have to resort to that. I can usually catch em with Mepps til water temp gets to the low 40s. I've never dead sticked. Maybe someone could take me out this winter and show me.

Awesome - i went out on a baby pontoon boat (all i had available) and caught 3 keeper hybrids and six sandbass in the last 45 minutes of light at entrance of last cove on SW corner of lake after seeing pelicans, ospreys, and gulls pounding the entrance to the cove - 3 sandbass on #3 Mepps and rest on white spinner bait with an Indiana and Colorado blade combo... also caught a 5.5 lb 27 inch hybrid and a 2.1 lb LMB off my neighbor's dock around 1pm earlier - awesome day!! No pictures unfortunately, my photographer/girlfriend (i believe she prefers girlfriend) is working in Dallas for a few days...

Was out again today and caught 93 more with help from neighbor Patrick and his friend Julian. Caught in same spots as yesterday plus Saint Annes Point East, Swing-set Hump, Flagpole Point and Kevin's Point. All in 15 to 20 fow with #4 Mepps.

I was debating between going to the gun range or fishing tomorrow and after seeing your post , it looks like I'm going fishing. Thanks for making my mind up for me Dennis. Hopefully I will have some success. Thanks for the reports.
