Planning a trip to Agua Milpa lake in Mexico. Will a US purchased hand-held gps work on that lake? Any idea of reception there assuming the unit will even work there? Problems going through customs?

Most gps will work anywhere in the world as long as they can read the satellites. Detailed mapping might be an issue. Garmin probably has the best handheld GPS.
