SETX will begin it's 2015-2016 season on Lake Sam Rayburn this Saturday. Weigh-in will be at Umphrey pavilion beginning around 3:00 pm. Come out and support your local high schools and kids. We are expecting record crowds and teams. The high school record for largest tournament in the country (376 teams) is definitely in jeopardy. Come by and check it out!

WOW if it beats the record that is awesome and scary at the same time. When you add that many boats to normal lake traffic it has to get dangerous at some point. It may be time to look at breaking into more divisions. I know everyone will say nothing has happened but why wait until something does. That is awesome that many kids are getting involved and getting to fish and learn.

Dude, it's Rayburn. There's 114,000 acres for us to fish with no worries of having to run in boat lanes or many hazards to avoid. I think it can handle 400 teams.

Honestly the Public boat ramp can handle 400 teams alone.

I wasn't worried about the ramps since they can trailer. But you are right I guess it wont be any worse than the big bass splash.

Yeah that would not be fun to pay a 1000 entry and have that many boats fishing another tournament at the same time.

It will be nothing compared to just a typical spring or summer weekend out there.

You have a real positive outlook on life it appears.

Again, it's 114,000 acres. The two weigh in locations are about 20 miles apart on separate ends of the lake.

Like someone said above, it'll be about like a usual nice spring day on Rayburn. Everything is what you make it. These kids are there to have a good time, and it's up to the captain to use his head and take care of these kids. The weather is going to be sunny and hopefully not much wind....sounds like a a great day to catch a bunch of fish!

Of that 114, 000, what percentage fishes the north 40k?
Not a big deal in December, the ones in the spring can make for fun if they continue to grow larger.
