Does anyone know if the spillway is open on Texoma and if so can you fish in the river in a normal boat.. Not an airboat. Thanks Jim

Water is way up. Launch on the Okla. side and go slow until you are past the old bridge pilings.

I will say this. Even if the water is way up still be cautious. I know a guy who is a great captain and fisherman but was a novice in that river. He has large holes in his boat hull now!
Keep em tight!

3/8-1/2 jig and fluke or paddle tail, white/chartreuse, or shad colors. Fishing from a boat Id think the liter jig heads would be better if you not worried about casting distances. Top waters saltwater spooks, Cotton Cordell pencil poppers, chug bugs Jerk baits. X-raps or like baits Might want to beef up you hooks and splits rings or keep you drag alittle on the lite side. Be ready to donate some tackle to the river it's a pay to play game that can be a a lot of fun..

All the above! Take em!! My best lure... Kastmaster (gold or silver) but like bv said..! You got to pay to pay to play$$! It's worth it no doubt! I havent been in a while but they will hit the km if you keep in their face! Good luck

One of my go to baits is a black and sliver H2O express jerk bait short bill.. Cast great nice action.BUT I have now had the back hook ripped out of 2 baits and I'm not sure if it was a bad batch of baits or due to damage from casting and the back of the bait striking rocks.
