Does anyone own a deeper fish finder, if so do you recommend buying it?

I guess I don't understand your question? Almost all f/f made in the last 15 yrs., or longer, will record echoes from at least 500 ft. Many will reach 1500 ft. There are no freshwater lakes in Texas that deep.

Castable bobber style wireless transducer with a mobile device (smartphone or tablet) as the display.
Just a more modern version of the Humminbird Smartcast.

Some bank fishermen use that or a similar product like the Vexilar Sonarphone T-Pod.

For the landlocked, it is a handy tool if you understand sonar.

Read the reviews on the sites that sell them.

Thanks, for clearing that up, Wayne. I misunderstood his question. I've seen the site before, just didn't remember what the name was.
