I just lost my fishing partner and am looking to meet some new people to go out with on weekends. I'm a 29 year old female. My only experience is with large and smallmouth bass but I'd love to learn how to target the other species. I live in Addison and am willing to travel to pretty much any lake to get on the water. I have a kayak but don't really like taking it out on my own, especially now that the water is getting colder. Let me know if you are looking for some company on your boat, kayak, or even just the bank!

Welcome! Might I suggest going to the Lewisville lake fishing barge, it's in lewisville about 20-30 minutes from Addison, great way to meet people and catch fish, mainly crappie. I like going there and socializing when not fishing off of my boats, or when it's too cold out. I will be out there tomorrow early morning if you are interested. You can PM me here if you'd like. Happy fishing!!

Ashley, if you're on facebook (who isn't these days) check out the DFW Kayak Fishing group. We've got a great community of kayak fishermen and fisherwomen and lots of open invites can be found there. Most of us don't have super steady fishing partners so we're always up for finding new folk to fish with.

Good luck and maybe we'll see you on the water sometime..

Thanks for the suggestions! I completely forgot about the fishing barge, that is a great idea. Hopefully I can make it out there next weekend.

I will also keep on the lookout for open invites on the Facebook group. Thanks!!

Check your PM Ashley, I sent you some info if you are interested in large mouth bass fishing.
