Looking to stock up on some medium diving cranks (8-12ft) and curious to hear everyone's favorite for mid depths. I throw squarebills a lot, but don't throw cranks in this range as much as I should and I'd like to change that next year.
Looking forward to your input.
Thanks, I used to throw them a lot, but with the grass in the lakes here, it is kinda tough. I used to love throwing the old Rebel Deep Wee R.

My top 5: Evergreen CR-10 My first choice and favorite is the CR-10. It runs true out of the package every single time. It has a unique wobble and has won me a lot of tournament money Duo Realis M65 2. The M65 is a killer crankbait! There's something about this crankbait in clear water that any sort of fish can't stand. It's baffling too because the rattle isn't that faint but I catch more fish on this crank in clear water than I do with a silent bait. Awesome bait for nighttime fishing! Storm Arashi Deep (10) 3. I place this one at number 3 because of it's durability. I love these cranks and the self-tuning line tie is genius. However, after about 10 trips of grinding the bait over rocks constantly, the bill cracks and it's useless. But I can't seem to give this bait up, especially in a tournament situation. Rapala DT10 4. Good ol' fashion stand-by. I've caught hundreds of fish on the DT crankbaits and they continue to produce year after year. It just sells itself! Spro Little John MD 5. This crankbait is my "high-pressure" crankbait. When I'm fishing a lake with a lot of pressure and the fish are weary, I go with this bait. It has a faint rattle and the unique wobble just seems to attract fish. Not to mention, the line tie on these cranks are by far the easiest ones to tune. Honorable mention: 6th Sense Crush 250MD Just another good crankbait. The only reason it's not in my top is because I've received several over the years that no matter what I do, they will not run true. Just problems with consistency. Also don't come with very good hooks. Still gotta have it during tournament situations though because when you need to match the hatch as close as possible, these cranks get the job done. Good luck!

+1 on the DT Series. They are the only crank that I find runs pretty true to what they advertise. 3XD's are pretty good, but hate the small profile.

Lc 1.5dd and 2.5dd are my personal favorites
That being said the lj md is a great bait and produces well with the flat sides and tight action it's a bait I use when conditions are tough and the fish are not real agressive.
I can do knock offs of all 3 of these baits in any of my patterns for $8 each and ship for free on orders of 5 or more. Shoot me a pm if your interested.

I like the Academy CRS+ for a hard vibrating bait and the Rapala DT6 for a slower rise and less vibration.

I like Norman's Deep Little N and one that has not been mentioned, Bandit 300. I also like Gary Dees Deep Dbait and Stanford lures Middle Runners. Each has their own time and place. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.
