 Rescheduled my Palestine trip, but hit Conroe on Black Friday

The weather forecast just didn't make me feel good about trailering 170 miles so we pulled the plug opting for another weekend even though PePop had a fresh batch of jigs waiting for me to pick up. I did tell Dad we'd go fishing so we spent the day on Conroe working bridge pilings since I have no brush piles in the lake yet. We ended up catching about 40 with 15 keeper fish. Lots of 9 1/2" fish out there. Some were caught on minnows as I'm just not that good of a jig fisherman yet, and with the boat bouncing as bad as it was from the wind it probably didn't help me feel those subtle thumps either. Hopefully I will get to make my Palestine trip here in a few weeks and try out those awesome looking jigs I ordered from Mr. Vernon. Mike

Bottom middle fish has a pretty smile. Is it me, or is his top lip missing? Blind in his left eye, too..... Come to think of it, I feel like that fish looks. LoL! Good job, thanks for taking the time to share.

Yes Jerry, about 2/3 of his top lip was very deformed and missing. We caught a couple throwbacks that had deformed mouths as well.
