With ALL of my other lakes closed now and with more rain on the way, at what lake level will they close Squaw Creek? I believe it's already a foot or so up now.

Squaw has a dedicated fixed spillway so it doesn't get too high

But it was almost to the top of the dock at the boat ramp Friday

I'm sure if it gets over that they will close it

If it's at the dock then it about to go over the spillway.

With the no rain throughout the week and the fixed spillway, all will be fine for next weekend. Guess thats one good thing about being open only on weekends

Never seen it closed due to high water in 29 years, but always the first time for everthing.Even in 91 or 92 when we got all of that rain it was open.

i have only been to Squaw Creek twice. Did it catch enough water to mess up the fishing for this weekend?

I only got about 6" of rain total in Stephenville and Squaw is about 30 miles away. It might not have got as much rain as some places in the metroplex that I heard was closer to 10" or more.

That is for your safety. Not There's! I have way points from two months ago that are not within a 100 yards from what the graph says now. Hell some now show that they are on the bank. Plus it's dangerous as hell when 50 boats leave at once and you don't know if someone shut down in the middle of the lake. Last year I followed my graph and when I realized I should be there shut down. I was 20 yards from the dam and should have been a 1000 yards away.

No problem IF it's bad

There was plenty of time from about noon on that they should have let us go

It was way worse in the past and even Friday they let us go

That's what I'm saying. It not consistent and most don't have the luxury to just turn around and go home since it was a 1-2 hour trip there. If they would just move the bouys out to the courtesy dock on the point to the main lake point across at a 45* angle that would give us more room on foggy days. I know it is work for them, maybe they could accommodate since they increased the limit of boats? It wouldn't hurt to idle a little further out on good days before you hammer down. They seem to have putting out bouys out, I see no issue moving them a little futher out but I think they couldn't see us from the club house.

Anyways it is what is no crying allowed, and hope they don't do this on the Fish n Chips.

Oh and Borden you need a new graph! Please send me those old waypoints that are off.

I don't have a problem with a fog delay. I have a story from the mid 90's. Lets just say boats and rip rap don't mix. I'm lucky no one got hurt. peep

How long were the fog delays last Friday and Saturday? Was thinking of going this weekend and did not want to get there too early to just sit and wait.
