Hi, do y'all know if the water is still being released there? I was planning to target some whites over the spillway. The only reason is that I love the way they fight in deeper holes with some current going on.
Has anyone been there recently?
Thanks and tight line to y'all!http://texasfishingforum.com/forums/images/icons/default/smile.gif

The action should be picking up now since they opened up the gates more. The hybrids should start coming down if not already.

Gotta try there one of these days. It is just too much debris on the bottom that most of the time I hook a hybrid or buffalo I end up loosing it if I am fishing for whites...

I think we're going to either try the spillway or Overlook Park this weekend. We brought the kids up to Rocky Creek Park a couple of weeks ago, and my 7 yr old daughter managed to land her first gaspago on her own and nothing else. We decided to move to Overlook and at first we were catching 1 or 2 white bass every 5-10 minutes which is fairly slow, and around 11:00 or so the white bass showed up in force. All the kids were catching them one after another. They were hitting everything we were throwing out. We were catching 2 at a time on about every cast on tandem rigs. My father caught a nice 7 pound hybrid, and we ended up leaving around 12:45pm with 130 white bass with 3 adults and 4 kids.

Excellent Video Ben,

Creeks looked good. I'll bet this latest cold front starts to push some bait up into the creeks. I might have to try walking into Nails or Irwin Bridge soon.
