Wow the lakes are on the rise again, Grapevine is over 7 foot high, Ray Roberts is 3.56, Lewisville is 3.65, and Lavon is 4.89. Hope they don't get so high that the lakes are closed again.

Grapevine rose 6 ft in 2 days. I would venture to say it's gonna get 12-15ft over pool.

Sure wish you could pump some our way. OH Ivie, Oak Creek, Sweetwater, and Hubbard are all still super low, at 12%, 24%, 10%, and 32% full. I'm still in awe at how severe the drought is here in West Texas.

Taking 5 to the weigh-in occurs when opportunity meets successful execution of one's preparation.

Thought about that yesterday. Would have been great if the main path of this precip would have been through West Texas. Would have put a major dent in things out there.
We have received 5.35" so far

Been checking out the forecast and next weekend looks good, though I probably won't start in the backs of the creeks

Saw that 2499 has been flooded over. Are they letting water out or is that just from too much rain in that area?

Joe Pool is about 6' over and we are supposed to get another 24 hours of rain plus the runoff, I won't be surprised to see it 10' over and closed soon. It's crazy.

I fished Twin Buttes and Nasworthy during the holiday. They both fished really well. I drove by Ivie on the way back and it looks horrible. . .

I went thru there around 7PM last night on the way home from the San Angelo Central game, it looked ok then.

it sucks, but West Texas is a very arid region, just part of life out there

It's true. Living in the desert is hard. People in San Angelo and Midland are finally finding out the hard way.
