Has anyone fished JoePool lake recently? Looking to take my 8 year old out for some crappie sometime this weekend! Any suggestions? "Crappie" was the first fish he caught when he was 5, so out went the bass gear in came the crappie poles and jigs lol... That's my boy!

don't have much to pass on.Seth who guides on the lake said he was going to wait a bit to see if a pattern starts up.With all this rain we're getting, not sure what if any effect it will have on the bite.good luck either way!

Joe Pool has slowed the last month. The fish are still catchable but most days you would be lucky to get 15 fish. If your looking to fill the boat I'd suggest another lake if your looking to have a fun day with your son and catch a few fish while your out then go for it. The flooding rains will probably muddy up the water and shut the fish down.
