This rumor comes up every year. I've heard it for about the last 5 years. As long as the optimax can meet epa guidelines it will stay in production. It will happen eventually but they aren't pushing verado's enough for me to think it will be 2016.

I find it interesting that Mercury's Supercharged 2.6L weighs 130 pounds more than the sho 4.2l, and has one less CARB star. stir We will be seeing the motor industry go threw a drastic change by 2020.
