Contemplating getting a new motor with auto deploy/stow. Is there a way to override and deploy/stow manually if the mechanism has problems?

The motor comes with a laminated card that explains how to stow the motor in case it will not do so automatically. It's a good idea to practice this a couple of times off the water.
