As the water's cool it's common knowledge the creeks become very active. This can be some epic fishing with minimal expense. Some of my fondest memories are from the banks and kayaking.

That being said it's time to dust the kayak off, attatch the new go pro and get some crappie catching adventures on camera.

This season the options are unlimited with all the water we've gotten and the creeks should be beautiful.

Anyone else out there that's addicted to crappie that's interested in kayak creek fishing?

I sure do wish I still had mine, had a lot of fun and caught a lot of fish from it.

I can probably find a couple of extra Jackson kayaks. Let's go.

My back was so bad this year, I barely got my kayak out. As soon as I recover from back surgery, I'll be ready to go.

Wanted to go today but wind was too much. Too cold for me next few days cause I ain't mad enough at the fish to be real uncomfortable. Wish I could fit my yak on the plane next week for FL. violin
Will get a little fishing in between other vacation stuff.

Tommy is there anything special you do or baits you use in the creeks?

It's been a while since I've been in the creeks. That's where I got my feet wet first. Fishing from a kayak is all I had in the beginning.

I'll most likely start with two rigs. A slip bobber set up with a jig and 8' rod for vertical jigging. Nothing really special.

We now have so many stores which has me traveling all over meeting great people. This has proved to be a plethora of information on catching locations. Talking to locals all over is almost as good as being on the water.

Let's just head out there one day and figure it out. It's best to go with someone else especially with cold water conditions. fish

Don't know how you slipped my mind David. Your close as well. I'd even meet you on Lewisville creeks soon. I figure a couple more fronts and we could really have a time.

Probably a dumb question but do you have electronics on your kayak?

I just got a good go pro. I bet you have one as well. We could make a great video with two of them.

How deep do you fish?

Let's say the creek is 15 feet deep.

God loves you just as much as anybody else!!
