Not sure about the one your looking at but, I have a 2004 Stratos PRO 275 XL w/ 90HP Johnson. Pushes it from 39 to 44 mph depending on the wind and load.
Mine is only rated for up to a maximum of 140HP....must have been some changes....newer model ?
Good rig, doesn't handle rough water that well, old Champion hull design kinda flat, stable, fishes out of well for 2 people.
If it's your first rig, you should like it. I wish my rig did have the maximum rated motor though....like the sound of a 150.
Friend on here near me had a new Stratos with the new Evinrude 135HP....man, that rascal was powerful and QUIET !!!
You have any pictures of this rig ?

Hope this helps...some
God Bless

I have a 93 Javelin 18'6" with a 150 Fast Strike and I hit 62 GPS at 5500 RPM the other day. Gets a little squirrelly at that speed so I usually drive about 50-55.

See you on the lake and have a great day!

Can't speak for specifics or comparisons even but...I've got a Nitro just shy of 19' with a Merc 150 4 stroke and with two grown men in it I've touched 60+ before. The conditions were perfect I'll admit and at best I run 60 solo since with good but not perfect conditions.

if you going to get a 19ft boat i would put the maximum hp rated engine on the boat. when you end up buying the 21fter like most of us, it will be a lil e z er to sell with the max hp engine. i have got a 2002 ranger 518 svx with a 2006 yamaha 200 hpdi if you are interested

Are you sure it is a 19'? Thought the 275 is a 17.5' which has a max rating of 150hp.
