Next year my son ( 18 years old) is planning to continue his study's in the US.He is a bass addict and would like to study at a high school with an active bass fishing community. As we live in Belgium ( Europe) we would like to have more information about the best high schools in Texas.Lodging information is also welcome.
I hope that someone can help us so that he can make his dream come throe:fishing for bass in the US.

There are tons of high schools in Texas that offer a fishing team, it has spread like fire in the past 2 years. I can only speak for Allen high school because that is the school I attend. Allen is a very, very big school with just about anything a high school could possibly offer, including a competitive bass fishing team which I personally started. pretty cool that he's traveling all the way to the US to chase his passion!

I live in Allen, TX (have for 26 years) and my daughter is an 2008 Allen High alumni. Allen, TX has great schools! Texas also has some really great bass fishing lakes! He will not be disappointed with Allen.

If he comes here, drop me a line and I'll take him fishing!

Marconelli, I would be more than happy to help you and your son gather whatever information you may need. I am one of the founding members of the Texas High School Bass Association, we have schools in the DFW area, East, West and also the Houston area. If you would like to find out more, please feel free to call me at 9034561786 . If you know the area you will be looking at here in the state, I can put you in touch with the school in that area .

Not sure if this will be a factor:

Participation is open to student teams in 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade providing that the 12th grade student does not turn 19 before September 1st of their senior year.

The ages for secondary/high school/college/university are different in a lot of countries. In some places, they don't enter college until they are in their early 20s. In the US, we typically finish high school around 17/18 years of age.

How far off is your son from entering college/university? There are also many active university bass fishing teams.
