Went out on Texoma with George Pratt yesterday. We didn't launch until 10 a.m. A little windy with winds at 17 mph. But in his 23 foot Falcon no problems.
We fished deep for a good bit but with the winds from the south we headed up into the creeks on the Okie side.
I didn't carry any plastics except 7 inch flukes. That was a mistake. I kept getting hit after hit and they'd tear the split tail off.......grrrrr.
My fault. We pounded the rocks and fished all the points. Had a good time. Next time, I'll take more tails.....short ones.....like 3 inch cohos.
Fish are really getting active at Texoma. Contact one of the guides up here and book a trip. They've been working really hard during this past year's flooding etc. Also, local businesses have been hit hard. So come on up! Lake level is about 616 and the water temps are low 60s.
