I went out yesterday to test the new bait " 3" Mag TADPOLE "

I fell in love with the 2" Tadpole several months back.
It was partly responsible for a 3rd place @ CAT on Palestine and was the only bait Richie & I could get the fish to take
at the State Championship on CC. It secured a 2nd place victory and big fish of the day banana

I had spoken with the manufacture about getting it in a larger size, but had to wait for our turn for mill time.
Belinda got the 1st mold last week and she ran some in Girls Nite Out, BES & PP for testing.

After she ran the 1st ones, even I was a little worried about the size of the bait. It's 3 1/8", but quite bulky

The fish quickly told me that this bait is another WINNER!" clap

I had twin 9' G-Rods rigged up with a 1/8 #1 pink jig head, 1 with a Purple Passion, the other with Black Emerald Shiner
I caught fish all day, both just keepers to some really nice Sabs! banana

When I thought they had slowed down on PP, I just switched to the BES

Then back again thumb

Got a phone call from el rojo just to discover that he was only about 75yds away.
He eased over with his TM, I pitched him 1 of each and a couple of jig heads with a #1 hook, he dropped the BES on a BP he had thrown his marker on.
Wasn't long at all I heard him say "Big Fish ON" cheers
2# even

I fished the new 3" bait all day and it just kept tricking fish into biting
Even this 7" future Slob, that thought he was King Kong

As you can see, it was a great day to be on the water, light winds, very cool start, but warmed up enough to shed a few layers clothing.
The water temp started at 58.7, rose up to 63.4
Fish were on the outside of the bp's in 27-35 fow for the most part and right on the bottom.
When I fished suspended all I caught was smaller fish.
I gave el rojo 17 fish I had in the box that were over 11", caught 4 more good'uns after they left.
I also had to have caught 25-30 fish under 11's thumb

Belinda got 2 more of the molds in the mail today, with 2 more coming.
She'll be running them in the popular colors for sale very soon cheers

Thats good stuff Todd!!

The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?
