We will have more updates as we get closer to the end of the year but just wanted to let everyone know that we will be headed back to FOX Southwest for 2016. We will also air on the Root Sports Southwest channel. WFN airings will end in December.

A couple of other major changes is that we are moving to 26 weeks of original episodes instead of 52. That change has been a long time coming and although we won't crank out a show every week we will be focusing on continuing to improve production value and the education that we provide our viewers. We will focus on the larger more popular lakes and use the data from the last three years to focus on the lakes that our viewers want to see. We also plan to do some tournament coverage of lakes during the spring depending on Bills schedule.

Finally we are going to offer a pay per view option for those who are looking for content as close to real time as we can provide it. Viewers will be able to access shows 2-3 weeks before they air on FOX or are available on YouTube. We will have more on this in late December but these episodes will be commercial free and have some additional content that doesn't make the weekly shows as added value.

Thanks

Mark

I get why, but I don't feel like this will be a popular decision. Even I, myself, am not a fan of the new direction.

Love the show, I watch from youtube, I understand the change, 1 show per week must put some wear and tear on BW. Are you going to push the show to an hour then?

Change is tough at times I know and we've certainly proved we are willing to try different things over the last three years. The output has been better every year and the ultimate goal is to elevate the end result of Bill and Dirks efforts on the water. Backing down a bit and allowing them to focus on the best lakes and the best possible production is important. We are in the content business and we want to deliver great content not average content simply because we are forced to run out each week and deliver a show. Bills ability to teach and share his knowledge will improve in the new format and that's the real benefit to our viewers.

Dont try and reinvent the wheel, you have the best fishing show going and no one is close to you, before long we will be watching reruns and everone will lose intrest. Been watching the show since 87 and i watch a lot of fishing shows if ole Bill is slowing down maybe a co host would be in the picture to fill in when Bill needs some time off. The show has sold itself on 52 shows a year . Keep it the same and i think most will agree besides i can see Jerry shaking his head from above and wondering what went wrong.

For 2016 the show will stay at 30 minutes but we do plan to provide some additional content that doesn't make the regular shows as added value on the video on demand series we will offer. We've discussed lengthening the show at some point but it will depend entirely on the amount/quality of the content to see if we can get there in the future.

Understand and appreciate the feedback but we are moving to 26 shows. I'm of the opinion that Jerry would just be happy the show is still on TV after all of these years. It's not a charity, it's a business and we run it accordingly.

I love the show, like people have said its the best fishing show on tv hands down Bill is the best and I really enjoy when he goes into detail about what he's doing or what he's looking for. Changes suck especially with a proven commodity we all know that but changes are always going to happen.

I recall listening to a Bass Edge podcast where someone mentioned replacing Bill. I don't recall the angler, but any truth?
