I use it for my flipping/pitching reel simply because I can pick up a lot of line in a hurry.

Do they handle braid well? I know some reels, you can wear down the gears with braid. For me I have quite a few Abu's that are in the $150-200 range but I use them with floro not braid. My shimanos handle braid better for some reason.

Pretty much all Revos for me. I have a couple Rockets and when it really shines for me is fishing a faster moving bait all day like rattle traps and I really like it when fishing a buzzbait. While I don't use one for everything I think they would work well for almost any technique except large heavy crankbaits & swimbaits. Also I have noticed that if I fish a cranking style bait that is under water(out of sight)like a crankbait or spinnerbait I will tend to crank it too fast with it's 9/1 gear ratio. When using the Rocket for baits I can see like a frog, buzzbait...I know if I'm cranking too fast. Make sense? Slade, I have never had a problem with braid wearing out any of my Revos.

I fish it on top, it makes a buzz bait scream! It also gets the slack out of poppers and spooks quick too. I also use it flipping in heavy cover reels them out quick.

I would use it for deep worms and heavier shaky heads also, as well as flippin and pitchin.
