We are thinking of buying a lot there. I would like to hear from someone who lives there or fishes it often about the fishing quality in general. Thanks for any information you can give.

One of the best places to live as it is for sure out back. And at the same time a short ways to any kind of store you may need. I live in Winnsboro and even here there is about a dozen lakes I can be on in less half hour.

Been fishing it since it opened. It can be tough fishing at times but I guess all lakes can be. The lake has a lot of timber that is covered up right now from a full lake so you better learn how to run it .Pittsburg and Mt Pleasant are great little towns .There a half dozen other lakes close, if those Sandlin fish don't bite!

It's a GREAT lake to fish!
I like the spawn, summer nights and deep winter fishing on Sandlin.
Went they bulldozed the dam area & boat lane down the middle of the lake, I cut firewood in that bottom all winter long.
I used to work WAY too hard loco
