Seeking help at Henry. First of all, I go at least once per month, sometimes twice. But 2015 has not been a good year for me at Henry.

Seeking any advice to catch lots of numbers. Size would just be a bonus. I just want my rod to move.

Lately I mght catch 2 or 3, or get no bites at all.

Ready to get out of this funk. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Throw a jerk bait or a Texas rig 7" black blue fleck worm. The jerk bait should be a natural color with little flash. Use different retrieves . I always fish the main lake. Look for small points and pockets. This is what has always worked for me.

When we were fishing the Working Man's Ts, several fish were caught on the blue fleck worm and some were caught on CBs, on main lake drop-offs, throwing a 10+ foot diver in natural colors. The jerkbait is a GRREAT idea, too. I have caught several nice fish in the bend of Big Grape this year, saw a 4-4.5 lb spot caught on a jig there, off a 2ndary point. If you go with the jig, do it black blue, the predominant pattern there. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Was there on Nov 14. Square bill bite was on. Caught lots of fish under 18 inches.
The bite only last for a few hours then got far and few between. Good luck on a big fish.
Points and cuts.

Thanks for the help. How deep are you fishing with the Texas rig and jig? Are they in the middle of the trees?

There is a flat as you go into Big Grape with lots of brush on it. Fish it from 3' to 15'. I normally use a CB in that flat, but in that range you should pick up some T-rigged fish and jig fish. Anywhere in that range, even at the Fish Hotel in the trees and Little Grape and Gobbler, in the trees (brush for the most part). Hope this helps. The square bill bite or the shallow running CB bite is in the tops of the brush, too. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Alan Henry is hard to figure out. I didn`t fish the Jack Pot tournament yesterday because of the weather and a bad head ache. My bad, they were biting in that cold and wind. I was, I say was leading the club on total weight for the year. For numbers I would throw a small fire tiger crankbait and a 1/4oz. jig head with a 4in. pumpkin-seed ring worm around the rocks. Now for larger bass anyone`s guess.

What is a "fish hotel"? Been a while sine I've fished AH, but never heard of it until now.

Long brushy point on the right going into Big Grape. We just call it the hotel because the drop off is shaped like a hotel. Has also been called 10lb ledge.

The next person to figure AH out will be the first person to figure AH out. LOL

I have had a pretty good Fall on top-water and then on my last trip (Friday the 20th) just got one hit on top-water. Just when you think you have a pattern figured out the AH Gods say "not so fast".
