Email sent. When you get it into full production, any thoughts of offering a price for buying 2? Have you made it so that it can easily be raised manually in case of a failure?

That Linear actuator is not going to last a week on a boat. Sorry fella. They are not waterproof. Or even water resistant.

I'd be curious about patent infringement.

Hello every one quick reply on the issues being brought up.
The actuators indeed are water proof up to 1 meter which is roughly 3 feet.. The actuators are ip66 rated.
I understand the patent systems as I have 2 patents now on other Products.
This is not a fully functional dock assist system out of the box As the instructions will be included to install the missing 2 bolts Which are included. Therefore I am selling a non functional docking assist System. If the buyer chooses to assemble and use this to keep the vessel In place wherever they choose. That is up to the buyers.
I am doing this understanding there maybe risk involved. But there is nothing out on the market for real world price.
Thank you Nicholas

I'd be curious about patent infringement. So far they haven't stopped Vampire shallow water anchors from selling although it looks like a pretty tiny operation and not worth their time to mess with. Pretty much lost me on this one with the claim of selling a non functioning unit by leaving 2 bolts off but posting on an open site, videos of the prototype and about beta testing.

He's selling them as "kits". You assemble so it's not a functional unit as the larger competition is. Not sure if this gets around patent infringement issues or not. But at this price point I can't help but be intrigued. I can buy a pair for less than the cost of 1 of the others.

Just one thought, looks pretty good so far, is the pole itself strong enough not to flex with too much pressure against it and lose the anchor point? Basically it looks pretty small to me and I wonder if it might not need to be beefed up? I guess we won't know until beta testing?

why say it is a dock anchor when it is not used as that .if it is to be sold as competition to the other products put it on a boat an test it in the real world .

Yes it is a word game my friend. The anchor it self is very very strong And for half the price your getting the same materials.
T6061 alloy with UHMW plastics.
Also features Teflon composites with steal Sleeves as the (Bushings).
I wouldn't make a product that I wouldn't have confidence in. Why would I build something that I can't use also?
