It's big, and awesome. Never seen a crappie plastic that looks like this in my hand or in the water, identical to a full grown minnow and has movement I can't describe when it's submerged.. I had one sample from Belinda, so I put it on a 1/32 with a #4 hook, which looked kinda weird but it's what was already on my line, and they sure did hit it. After I cleaned some the other day and realized their belly's were full of bigger looking bait, I thought this may be the ticket. I'm a fan. I'm about to order a bunch. The 7-9" fish had no problems getting it in their mouth, but the good fish liked it too. Only thing is, I didn't get to use it long because I handed my little boy my rod, and he let something substantial hang him up on some brush ropes. Todd/Belinda did good with this bait, looks a lot more like the live bait I'm seeing swimming around where I'm fishing. Credit to Thermocline.

The common trend for crappie is small baits, 1/16, 1/32, 1/48 with small bodies. And there are times when those small baits are just what the crappie want, like those hot summer months. But don't over look the bigger baits in spring, fall and winter. I posted a pic last year of an 11" crappie with a 4" shad in it's belly. You may miss some little fish with a 3" bait, but the keeper size fish won't hesitate to eat it if they want it.

And as Todd said, there's a new big bait on the way. I'll be fishing that bait a lot the next 5-6 months.

Todd has a longer shanked hook that I have been using, it puts the business end where it needs to be.

Ask Todd he will knows which ones I am that I am using.

That new bait is going to set the water on fire!

Kirk is referring to the Jig Heads with a #1 hook. They are a good bit longer than a #2 and have a wider gap which makes them great for big baits.
Belinda just made me up some 1/16 #1's with her custom paint (Fingernail polish, glitter & a clearcoat) to use tomorrow thumb
I've been using the pink, but wanted some that were pink with some subtle flash to them

Yeah the #1 hook will be good, but I got a bunch of 1/32 I poured with #2 sickles and I bet they are a little better for this Super Fry (than the #4 I had rigged today).. Still this is a cool plastic for any head in my opinion, I was surprised.

I've been using Todd's baits for a few months and I'll tell ya they are great. I have used that super fry the past two trips and the big fish love them! I've seen the prototype Todd mentioned above and trust me, you will like it.
