I saw this post and thought of the Lewisville Fishing Barge. Nice fish, lots of good eating right there.

They are biting already at that dock? Went to Proctor and tried my winter spots on Saturday and I was surprised to get a few myself.

How deep is the water there? Shady spots are great for crappie...
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

I went back today, but they had moved one of the pontoons out, the other one is very large pontoon and the crack was even smaller. but fish were still there, the bite didn't last as long this morning only about an hour, had to weed through the small ones but ended up with 7 nice ones, sorry no pictures a good way to start the turkey day though. color of the day was BES tadpole on the bottom and a BES lil fry on the top jig By the way when they were biting they were flat out hammering that tadpole, hadn't felt thumps like that in a long time, I was using a medium action graphite rod because i had to horse them out of such a small space, they all felt like monsters, drop the jig down about 12 feet and slowly pull it up about 2 feet, and its hammer time
