"The bay fishing has remained consistent through the past weeks. Still catching speckled trout and redfish on both live and artificial soft plastics. Speckled trout are still hanging in deeper water near drop offs and sand pockets around South Padre Island. Redfish are being targeted around shallow water grass beds that are typically too shallow to fish. Some schools of both black drum and redfish are being located on calmer days up north. Expect the bite to remain good through next couple of weeks."

If you hit the LLM focus on the ICW and boat channels. It's going to be tough if it is cold, but a slowly bounced jighead with a Gulp shrimp can usually pull some trout and reds out. Good luck.
