Is it legal to fish here at night? if so is the bite any good right now at night?

My boys were wading Squaw Creek a few years ago below the dam. They waded/fished upstream until they came to a fence. The grass is always greener on the other side so they went through & continued to fish up to the base of the dam. The call I got at work started like this: "Dad, remember when you told us people can't block access to navigable streams in Texas"? Bad way for a phone call from your boys to start! They were referring to my many trips down the very strictly enforced Devils River. Turns out a No Tresspassing Sign by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission trumps state laws! Plant security turned them over to Somervell Co Sheriffs Dept and a parent had to come get them. Worse things for your kids to get in trouble for than fishing...right? To answer your question: Yes, you can fish at night after the gates to the park are locked...as long as you don't get caught! (They have no sense of humor)! Lake closes @ 4:00pm. :-)

The lake is only open Friday thru Sunday 6am-4pm
