I sell boats in corpus christi and we are a whaler dealer, brunswick owns whaler and mercury, they wont let us order the boats blank anymore they must have a merc. on the back. Yes its a problem sometimes. The myth that mercury motors arent good in salt water is a myth that is hard to overcome on the gulf coast. Mitchb "standing by"

Best economical bay boat is Kenner and Blue Wave without doubt. Best, as in absolute very best price is not option, is Yellowfin, can't believe it hasn't been mentioned.

We are the worlds largest blue wave dealer and also a bay stealth dealer both are fine boats both are sinilar in price and we sell about 10-1 blue waves over bay stealth's(for what its worth) I can sell a 22 blue wave tunnel boat with a 140 suzuki with a alum trailer rigged right for $24995(new 07 model) when a person compares its not a hard decision to make.Boat buyers in texas arent stupid thats why blue wave sold more boats than anyother brand in texas for the last several years. ....maybe check with the guides web pages and see what they run..there is a reason they choose what they do.

I did lot's of research and also who serviced what in the area I lived and fished.

I went to the web pages of the manufacturers and visited the forums to see what the actual owners were saying.

This will really open your eyes, especially if the manufuacturers are active on the forums and eager to help/please.

good luck for sure!
