When I typed in the title I left out one of the "0's" in good day but now that I think of it, it was a God day. Weather was great, fishing was good and being on the lake so relaxing. Very little boat traffic, very little wind. Robert wanted to try out his new toy - auto deploy I-pilot. It worked great.

Water temp was 65, water a litle stained. We launched from Log Cabin. Our plan was to run up North then work our way back south. First stop was Merimac, didn't graph much so moved to Game Warden, caught a few there. Saw birds working out in the middle so took a look. Thousands of shad suspened in 35 fow water but no fish. Depth finder said it was 10 ft the shad were so thick. Next stop was spillway hump and it was a good one. Under hybrids and big sandies to 16.5". About a 50/50 mix with a few yellows mixed in. Stayed there for a few hours, no big schools but enough small schools to keep us busy. Target depth was 17-22 ft and they were hanging right on the bottom. Horizontal or vertical slabbing worked just keep it on the bottom. Smaller profile slabs (lke Moe's SSS slab) worked best for us.
Went back to Merimac and found some bigger schools of big sandies, under hybrids and one LMB. Didn't count but we caught and released 25-30 each.

Nice sandie

Robert had two I had one and they got together - what a mess
