The weatherman is calling for wind, rain and a 20 degree temp drop this weekend. What do the bass do down here when temps do that? Sorry, first time I have fished this late in the year. I'm normally chasing steelhead at Lake Erie this time of year.

just go to Squaw or Welsh and don't worry about it

but really, it's all about the pressure. fish can't really feel the air temps

Probably won't make a huge difference right now. It really hurts in the spring, but this time of year they're going to eat more often than not. Grab a small spinnerbait, run the shallows up defined creek arms and have fun.

When a front is coming in and during the front, the fish will be active, it's the day or two after when the wind dies and high bluebird skies is when the fishing gets tough. They will be tight to cover and have a smaller strike zone.

That pretty much makes up my mind about Sunday. I bet it'll be pretty tough fishing. Thanks Danny

+1

You will pretty much have to hit them repeatedly on the nose to get bit. Sometimes you can get a reaction strike on a lipless rattling bait if you want to work that hard.

You can probably count on the Fall bite, until the water temp gets below 55 deg., then they get slower, in Winter mode.
