Hello Fellow Anglers,

My dad and I got to the lake at 11am. We fished stumps and trees to start off. By 12pm we had 9 crappies in the cooler. We headed to BP and it was very slow. We tried several BP's and we would get 2 or 3 but it was still slow. However sandies were feeding all day with hundreds of birds diving. We decided to chase some sandies since crappies were slow. The schooling were about a mile south of Wolf Island and all the way to the state park non-stop. We didn't really stay on the sandies cause dad wanted crappies. We ended with 18 crappies and 22 sandies. All crappies were caught with minnows in 20 to 25 fow.

Does anyone know is they are letting water out at the spill way at lake ray Roberts? or if I could find out through Texas parks and wild life

They are letting some out. Not a raging river though.

Very nice! I'm trying to talk my wife into going. She doesn't enjoy bass fishing. I know she'll like crappie fishing. At least, I hope...
