I have had several over there years when I was coangling. I typically just carry a small squared off bag that is thin and will hold 6-3700 trays that I change out for that trip.
Keep it simple and organized and it makes it easy.

usually being a boater and able to carry "tons" of tackle I am fishing as a co-angler this week.
I went into my shop and got out an old worm binder for plastics. Then went to Walmart and bought an Okeechobee medium sized tackle bag for $30. It comes with three plastic lure containers.
Downsizing was hard because of usually have so much, but getting to those that I actually use plus a few more I got topwaters, chatter and spinner baits, frogs, square bills and medium divers, lipless cranks, jerkbaits and more. Plus in four small plastic lure containers I have drop shot and wacky worm fixins, terminal tackle, jigs and chunks, and shakey heads.
If that does not cover what I feel I will need I am out of luck. But then in our club since the boater and co-angler usually share baits if something is really working and the other does not have any then I feel I am covered.
Good luck!

I'm a co-angler often and have been able to get my gear into 1 bag. I use this bag. http://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/okeechobee-fats-t1200-series-tackle-bag?repChildCatid=1038204You can actually fit 6 trays in it if you need. I have a tray for terminal tackle, cranks, spinners/chatterbaits, top-water, jigs and 1 just for squarebills. Most of us typically only use maybe 8 types of plastics in any given day so you can have those packages as well. This bag has a waterproof pouch for your personals under the top flap. It's got room for glasses, pliers and a ton of extra space in the wing pouches. In all reality you can fit what you need in it for the day. Obviously it's harder than having the whole boat for storage but it's more than doable.

Bass Pro has a nice bag that caries five of the 3700s and then you can squeeze one on top. This bag also fits in most rear compartments of your bigger boats.

I used to use a plain Nike gym bag with 2 pockets on each side of the main pocket. I could fit 7 or 8 Plano tackle boxes in the main pouch and plenty of plastics, extra line, etc in the side pouches. I would at least check it out

I have used same bag for 10+ years. It is a medium sized bag that will hold 4-5 boxes, has an end pocket and 2 small side pockets. What I have found from fishing as a co-angler for many years, is stay organized and combine boxes as needed. The best thing I did was put my plastics bags in ziplock bags by category, i.e. Lizards and creatures, flukes and swimbaits, senkos, etc. I usually have 3-4 plastic boxes, 2 ziplocks of plastics, and then I place the things I need easier access to in the end pocket. I asked this same question a little over 1 year ago. I ended up choosing the following bag and feel like I made the right choice. Bass Pro Plano 3750

I would bring any and everything you might possibly encounter and leave it in your vehicle. If you angler is any kind of human being he should clue you in as to what style of fishing you will be doing when you first meet. I always try to help co-anglers fishing with me, it has always come back to me in some way. Example: If I am fishing a CR bite exclusively why bring 5 rods and matching lures that you are never going to fish with. There is nothing worse than co-angling with a guy who is drop shotting in 30 feet of water all day and you brought the kitchen sink on the boat to only use none of it.

OH Donald, you are being paged... 3, 2, 1... I have a digital camo back back ready to go. It will attach to the back seat and rides great going down the lake. It still works as a back pack and will carry up to 8 rod and reels on the sides for hiking in. Picks. available just let me know.

I also like the Plano guide series. Can place in in floor board under legs if need to. Best way is when boater gives you compartment behind passenger seat. Then I unload all of the 3700's in there and leave bag in car. Plano Guide Series Bag 3710 I found that a half size box would fit across the ends of the 3700's and put my weights in there. Plano Pro Latch Utility Box 3705 I do like the others and put plastics into 1 gallon ziplocks with slider and label outside by category. I place them in a backpack and attach seatpost or in locker if provided.
