What do you do when you have been sick all week, you took a day off for your birthday and your father (who is recovering from pneumonia) is visiting from out of town?
You put your big boy pants on and you go fishing anyways. Props to my dad for braving this weather ..under the weather. He was def a trooper.
Tough Conditions on Monday: Strong Winds, Choppy Water, Heavy Rains, Fluctuating Temperatures..Rising Water...
(Boat barely made it under the duck cove bridge)
We tried everything; flipping and cranking docks, cranking points, flukes, rattletraps, chatterbaits, drop shot, plastic worm...fishing protected coves, open lake, and underwater humps...nothing seemed to work. Are there any actual LMB in Tawakoni? That lake looks so good. so many "fishy" places.
We only got three bites all day and all came from spinnerbaits on main lake points (with rocks). If you are only going to catch one fish for the day...this fish will do.
Fish was almost 5lbs.. (4.10lbs)
Any day on the water and not at work is still a good day!
Enjoy your week!
