Is your unit power cord connected directly to the battery with at least 14 gauge wire??????? Thanks for the response. Please explain why a direct connection to the starting battery is relevant. Seems like a switched connection would be a better solution. Not arguing...just asking. I have Lowrance so it's not apples to apples; but I had to rewire to a dedicated power block due to my graph cutting off because the factory wiring wasn't made for the amps my graph was pulling. Seems like an easy thing to try before sending it in.

Interesting response from WayneP. I wasnt sure whether to interpret this,
"Your boat has POS cheap wiring ... To turn the unit off use the unit power button. Those units are computers, treat them as such". , as an insult or a genuine attempt to help. So Im reading WayneP's response as an enthusiastic suggestion. "install a dedicated electronics fuse panel using 10 gauge wire at the console, then connect the unit power cord to the dedicated fuse panel". Yes this has been done
"Fuse each load with appropriate size and fuse the circuit at the battery with 10A-20A fuse or circuit breaker." Yes this has been done
"if your unit turn off when you start the outboard, get a larger battery that can support the electronics" Battery is fine
To clarify...the unit worked fine for several months before it died the first time...this time the screen flashed on/off a couple of times then died and wouldn't power up again. The unit is on the way to HB for service. Thanks for your ??help??
