Where are they biting at lately? I got into bass fishing thisat year but I want to get back to my roots of catching catfish and crappie, and I was looking for some tips for crappie fishing this winter. Probably going to be targeting alan henry, oak creek, maybe white river, and the occasional trip to hubbard creek. So has anyone had any luck?

Went to White River crappie house last Thursday evening & it was really SLOW! With the warm fall we've had, I think they are just late moving in. At least, I hope my theory is right.
The marina at WR closed at 3:00, so you need to get there in time or take minnows with you if that's what you want to fish with.
The store at Alan Henry also is pretty unreliable as far as staying open past about 4:00, so you need be prepared for that.
A friend of mine said he found crappie stacked along the brush along the northwest shore of the mouth of Big Grape creek at Alan Henry last week.
On that note, hope you get in them and do well.

Thanks for the tip! I am looking forward to getting my kayak in the backs of some of these creeks on Alan Henry
