 Carp in Local Pond tips

There are 5-6 huge carp in my local pond, along with a 1-3 koi. How should I catch them? I'm a complete beginner in carp fishing..

Easy rig here.
Barrel weight, barrel swivel, tie a leader at least 8 inches or more. Small treble for doughbaits; straight shank for worms or vegetable bait.
Use some nightcrawlers, corn, or a dough bait. They sell strawberry flavored dough bait at walmart.
You can make an easy bait by using flour and big red or strawberry soda. Stiffen with bread.
You can even try marshmallows and peas.
A good set up with that rig is some marshmallows and nightcrawlers. Put your marshmallows on first. They make the worm float off the ground in case the bottom of your lake is full of leaves or vegetation.
