I have a bunch of pairs of gloves, but none of them are exactly perfect. Wanting something warm, but not super thick. Don't wanna have to take them off all the time when rebaiting with dough bait

I know a guy that uses cotton gloves and puts latex gloves over them, I've never tried it before but he says it keeps his hands warm while he throws a cast net for bait, if it works for that then it should work for putting a bait on a hook.

There's no such animal, IMO Most times I have multiple pairs of the thin cotton gloves, when a pair gets wet I put them in a ziplock And put on a dry pair. I also have a hand muff with zippo hand warmers inside that keep my hands nice and warm.
I've never been good, But I've been Lucky! I don't Lie or Exaggerate, but sometimes I remember BIG!

I haven't found the perfect pair yet either - I usually take multiple pairs and change- I don't like cold wet hands either -
What has happed to you does not define who you are-
HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

I use neoprene for throwing a cast net and Cabelas guide gear glomittens for fishing. You might have to switch to punch bait and a stick when it gets cold enough for gloves. Or you could have Stubby take you fishing and he will bait your hook for you.

No kidding. I don't get to go with Stubby as often as I like to. I may have to start getting TWS to bait me up in the cold weather.

Or you could have Stubby take you fishing and he will bait your hook for you. I guess that would work but I use a heater in the boat that's what I do. but I will bait your hook TX any time u want To catch them little kitties over here ha ha

I stopped using gloves while fishing. Don't like the feel when messing with the rod. Got to handwarmers in the pocket.
