I have the Navionics Hotmaps Premium chip which can be refreshed with the latest data. I started the download yesterday @ about 2:00 PM. The "Nautical Charts" loaded pretty fast, but the "Sonar Charts" started showing a few hours of download time - NOW it shows 42 hours & 19 mins. download time & still climbing. Geez, at this rate I'll still be downloading into next week.

Is this normal???

The Premium card cannot have Sonar Charts downloaded to it

Sonar Charts is for Platinum and + cards.

Well, my bad. I have purchased several of these Navionics chips in the past. Thought I had a Premium chip in the fish finder - nope, it is in fact a Platinum chip - AND, it failed to load the first time, I retried it - and it loaded in short order. Thanks Wayne P.

Also, before downloading there were sections of coves on Toledo Bend that had no contour lines - after download - all of the coves I intend to fish are complete.

We'll see if is accurate when I get there.

Thanks Wayne -

My year of "freshest data" didn't even give me the full year before it expired. It was about 4 months and I got a expired notice. bang

Glad you got it lined out MtnHm203....I know a lot of people that have done tons of recordings for the Navionics Sonar Chart layer on Toledo Bend....it is pretty awesome to go to the WebApp and toggle the sonar chart button on and off on Toledo Bend, some good info being added for sure.

Grout-Scout- Have you tried calling Navionics customer service? Because as long as the card is registered withing 60 days of purchase you should get the full year from purchase date. I would give them a call and see what can be done, welcome to tell Customer Service that I told you to call.
