What's the difference in a $200 G Loomis and $500 G Loomis? Besides the fact some people have money and some have a lot more

$300

I can't tell much difference in the IMX and the higher end rods. Below the IMX, there is a big drop.

Once you get past the IMX rods you're basically paying hundreds of dollars for a few grams in weight reduction.

As stated, below IMX there is a noticeable difference. Above that, the components that go into them is the difference in price. Lighter, more sensitive, better reel seats and eyes. The wild cards and so on. If you've never used a high end rod like that, there is a very noticeable difference. And no, I'm not sponsored by them.

I've got several IMX rods and they are of very high quality but in comparison to my NRX rods it's apples to oranges. I can't tell that much difference in the IMX and the GLX, other than the price tags.

I have glx and imx and several are the same exact rod model I cant tell any difference in them honestly. I really like all of my loomis rods but don't thinking going to spend the extra money again trying to get something better

I got my GLX's as a promo when I bought a new ranger in 05, got three of them, before then I would never think to spend $350 for a stik...but I will admit they are the best "feeling" rods I own...being light and sensitive they are amazing, I fish finess worms and weightless senkos on them...for all my other needs St.Croix fits the bill just fine...if you are looking to feel what your bait is doing it's hard to beat a GLX or above...
