First time out on a lake since wife passed and wasn't sure if I could enjoy fishing. It was OK. I was out 2 1/2 hours, checked 6 spots and found fish on the last two - Spillway Point and Game Warden Hump. Caught 35: 30 whites, 3 short hybrids and 2 big yellow bass. Left still catching em at Game Warden. They were in 16 to 18 fow and all were caught on #4 Mepps. Water temp now 65 degrees.

Thanks for the report Dennis. It will get easier as time passes. Trust in the Lord for he has a plan for you. Don't rush things, as you just had a huge loss that is not easy to get over. Take care.

JimmyP, thanks. I know God will fill the huge whole in my life, and you're right - I don't need to rush things but "wait on the Lord" as the Bible says.

Mr. Christian , thanks for the report. Its good to hear from you. Your wife would not want it any other way than to see you out fishing again and doing what you love to do. Hang in there and the good Lord will always make the the pain subside. Although we never seem to understand the reason for what his plan was , he knows whats best for all of us. Dennis, it's been a week or so since I was out but my results were much the same, on the number 4 Mepps. Glad to see you getting back out and pressing on.

Mr. Christian, Do you order your #4 Mepps? I've checked Academy and Bass Pro and have not been able to find plain #3 or #4. I've never targeted white bass on the main lake but I want to try out your method.

Mr.Christian, I had not yet seen the terrible news of the passing of your wife when I texted you today. Very sorry for your loss, hope you and yours can find peace and happiness. If you do decide to go fishing any more this week I would really enjoy to get to fish and talk with you again if you would like some company on the boat.
