Box anchors. Several guys on here make and sell them. There is a current ad running in classifieds section.

A lot of rope and chain is more important than the anchor for any depth but I use box anchors. I use 2 12"x12" anchors one out the front and the other out the back. I run a 23ft boat and I'm not afraid to sit in the open on them windy days with this set up.

This is true. Good rule of thumb for every ft of water let out 3ft of rope. If its windy I will let out 5ft.

I have a "digger" brand anchor and a box-
Both are very good at what they do-
I can buy a box anchor cheaper but if I loose it I will buy another
Digger-
The digger is much lighter and also has a "release"' feature that I like-
You can go to the bass pro web site and look up the digger to find out more
Info And reviews on it-

What has happed to you does not define who you are-

HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

I like box anchors. 14"x14" with 5" diggers. 1/4" x 3" plate...with one 3/8" plate tacked on the inside front to weight the front down.

I've used diggers before but prefer box's
