Shimano Metanium XG

I love this reel and it's great for pitching and flipping. It's super lightweight and it pairs well with any rod. I like the XG because it's an 8.5:1 gear ratio and that's gonna help me pick up a lot of line.

G. Loomis Mossyback Flipping

I use the BCFR894. It's a 7'5" fast, heavy. This rod is one of the most sensitive rods on the market and I can feel a fish breathe on my bait. It's lightweight so I can flip or pitch with it all day long and not get tired. It's got a long handle on it so I can really lay into a fish and jack their jaw.

Sunline Flipping FC

More often than not, I use the 20 pound test. This line is the ultimate flourocarbon for flipping and pitching. I feel so much with this line because it's so sensitive. It's made for flipping and pitching exclusively and let me tell you, this stuff is strong! Very impact resistant as well!

Just a little different bigbass94 I use the mossyback with the new citica but I throw braid. Usually 30-40lbs.

When your just flipping and pitching this stuff and not punching mats what size weights yall throwing? I love my mossyback but don't use it much because I don't throw much heavy stuff other than a crig

Unless I'm in the thick stuff, I like my 7' Falcon Low Rider Lizard Dragger I w/ a 7:1 reel.

Great Question. I fish LOZ docks a lot. If I'm pitchin and flippin in the dock wells-close quarters I use NRX 804 with Revo MGX 7-1. When I get around the sides, front or outer edges I pick up the NRX 853 with Revo MGX 7-1. Fishing in the wells you have a low overhead-don't like longer rod smackin the tin roof on hookset. Need stiffer rod when fishin in the wells because there's a lot of steel under there and you gotta have a rod to hoss em out. I get better distance and accuracy with the 853. It takes TWO rods to pitch and flip, docks, laydowns or stumps.

That's exactly my set up, glad to see I'm not the only 1 using it. I fish alot of Bitsy Jigs on it...

Jig 3/8 or 1/2oz most of the time.
Craw tube 3/8
Bug 3/8
Baby brush hog 1/4

Right now I'm using a powell inferno 7' MH with a quantum smoke. Super light setup. Other than that I throw a drop shot on a shimano crucial.
Probably going to start using the Gloomis more with a trig even though it's a 7'6" H rod

I just bought a TFO GTS C736. It's fantastic. Very sensitive, light, and the tip is perfect. I love it. Paired with a Lew's BB1.
