since I posted. Fishing Fork on Saturday and wanted a litter bigger profile bait to fish some deeper piles.  Did a lot of purple in them. And yeah, I know that that is a bass and not a crappie on the jig box but it was a gift from my daughter.

I don't think the color of the head will matter, my thinking is the head can be tied into the jig to be part of it and make it bigger. Or be tied in as just something for the fish to see and get them looking where the jig is, and that is where the crazy head colors come in.

They look really nice, good job! Still I think you should try a little Estaz Grande and they also have some great colors. The stuff is 30mm across! Let me see if I have a picture to show. See below: Skip I just tied these to show the two shades of Orange and this is Grande tied on a 1/4 OZ head.
